HEBIX
MOBILE LIFTING AID
With Hebix caregivers are able to raise people that have fallen over, who would otherwise require additional assistance, in order to get them back on their feet. Hebix is intended for home care. It is light weight and compressible. Specially shaped edges enable the patient to be raised from a supine into a seated position. The aim was to create an aid for nursing staff in order to ease manual labour. Due to the specially shaped edges of the roll-off profile of the site parts the forces required for lifting a patient are reduced to 60 %.
PROTOTYPING
To find the most supporting shape for the side parts, which reduce the required force for lifting a patient, several roll-off profiles have been tested ,evaluated and selected.
FURTHER DEVELOPMENT FOR MARKET ENTRY
In cooporation with the health device supplier Accurat, Hebix has been further developed. Since 2016 Hebix is avaliable on the healthcare market and has been sold worldwide over 5000 times until now.
